Check that an editor change was saved and applied

Understand the saved revision and live preview messages before relying on an edited span.

Before you start: Choirboy desktop beta with a recording open in the waveform and transcript editor.

Step by step

  1. Inspect the selected span

    Open the recording in the editor. Select a mark and review its waveform position, word context and chosen mode. Keep your original recording available.

  2. Read the result of Save

    Choose Save and read the status at the top of the editor. If it reports a failure, reopen the recording and check what was stored before continuing.

  3. Check the live preview separately

    Check the live preview status separately. If it says the live plan is unchanged or no preview was accepted, the change is not active in playback.

  4. Reopen and verify before continuing

    Return to the recording and check the persisted marks. Review the passage carefully with the intended filtering before relying on it. If the saved or preview status remains unclear, report the app version, action and message to support.
