Get ready to connect Choirboy to a Roku TV

Check the receiver, network and host before using the TV connection controls.

Before you start: A compatible Choirboy desktop or Android beta build, the matching Choirboy Roku receiver, and both devices on the same local network.

Step by step

  1. Check the receiver and build

Confirm that the Choirboy receiver is installed on the Roku and matches the host build you were given. A generic Cast button or a TV brand alone does not establish compatibility. Ask support if your beta package did not include receiver instructions.

  2. Put both devices on the same network

Connect the phone or computer and the Roku to the same local network. Guest-network isolation can prevent discovery even when both devices have internet access.

  3. Start with local playback

Open a familiar recording in Choirboy and confirm that it plays on the host. Wait for the source and filtering to become ready before choosing a TV destination.

  4. Choose the TV destination

Open the available TV or casting control and select the compatible receiver. Wait for the app’s connection result, then confirm the picture or audio on the actual TV. A selected device name alone does not prove that playback transferred.

  5. Keep the host available

The phone or desktop still supplies playback. Keep it connected and open during the beta test. If the TV stops, pause and reconnect deliberately; report the host build, receiver version and the last action to support.
