Connect ChatGPT to a hub project

Let ChatGPT retrieve evidence and propose notes for your approval.

Before you start: A reachable HTTPS hub, a hub access code, and a ChatGPT account or workspace that permits custom MCP connections.

Step by step

  1. Enable the connection controls

In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings → Security and login and enable Developer mode. Availability depends on your account and workspace policy.

  2. Add Rabbit Trail

Open ChatGPT Plugins and select +. Name the connection Rabbit Trail and enter your hub’s HTTPS address followed by /mcp. Select OAuth authentication when prompted.

  3. Choose permitted projects

Sign in on the Rabbit Trail authorization page with your hub access code. Select the projects to share and enable proposed notes only if you want drafts for review. Approve the selected access.

  4. Ask a question with sources

Start a conversation with the Rabbit Trail connection selected. Try: “Find the evidence mentioning Eleanor Reed in Riverdale mill. Show the source passages before drawing a conclusion.”

  5. Review proposed findings

Ask for a proposed research note, then open the project’s Review panel in the hub. Check the text and references before choosing Approve and save.
